Relaxing or challenging, with a stroller or with a harness, there are itineraries for everyone in Alta Badia. To start exploring them, just cross the threshold of the Rezia Hotel and step into one of the paths that branch off from the Hotel in different directions through the splendid Alpine scenery. Who looks for an easy family walk, can enjoy, for example, the trail "Tru dô l'ega" along a lively mountain stream or the Artists' trail with the works of modern art or the Larch
trail that leads across flowered meadows and larch forests towards San Cassiano. Another panoramic route that deserves, for sure, more than one hike, winds from the Hotel Rezia towards the Santa Croce sanctuary, situated at the foot of the mighty Sasso della Croce, from where, if you want, you can proceed towards the Snow Grotto, towards the fabulous Armentara meadows or descend passing by the charming lake Lech dla Lé until Oies, a sacred pilgrimage destination for all the Ladins.
Besides, Alta Badia has 16 mountain lifts open in summer (from late June till the end of September), two of which – Gardenaccia chairlift and Piz la Ila cable car – are located in La Villa, offering the possibility to easily reach the massif of Puez-Gardenaccia and the vast plateau between Piz la Ila and Pralongià.
Those who to the comfort of mountain lifts prefer a full immersion into the mountains, can set off from the Rezia Hotel, searching for chamois, marmots and unusual glimpses, to the mythical Kingdom of Fanes, a rocky plateau, reachable in an easier way by trail no.12 across Forcella de Medesc, otherwise accessible through a steep ascent from the Santa Croce church to the peak of Le Ciaval (fixed metal ropes).
Whatever trail you choose, walking through the splendid landscapes of Alta Badia will definitely fill you with incredible emotions!
