Mountain lakes with their glistening waters, meadows spotted with colourful flowers, lush woodlands and the superb peaks of the Dolomites that tower above the green valleys – in summer the rich Alpine flora flourishes around La Villa, framed by the Nature Parks Fanes-Sennes-Braies and Puez-Odle. And in winter the shimmering white mantle of the snow-covered Dolomites attracts numerous skiers, turning La Villa into a renowned skiing resort, included into the grandiose Dolomiti Superski area.
Situated in the very heart of Alta Badia, La Villa boasts a perfect location to explore the whole valley at any time of the year. From one side La Villa borders a vast panoramic plateau (connected by the cable car of Piz la Ila) that in summer offers numerous hiking trails and family activities and in winter becomes the main skiing stage of Alta Badia, making part of the famous Sellaronda skiing carousel. From another side La Villa overlooks the massif of Gardenaccia, easily reachable by a chairlift that provides access to MTB downhill trails in summer and to panoramic skiing slopes in winter. From the third side La Villa is framed by the slopes of the mighty Sasso della Croce, with the Santa Croce church at its foot, being a popular destination for both summer and winter hikes.
Besides, La Villa is located at the junction of roads leading to Corvara (and therefore, to Arabba and Val Gardena), to San Cassiano (proceeding towards Cortina d'Ampezzo) and to Val Pusteria – what else could you wish for magnificent bike, motorcycle and car tours across the famous passes of the stunning Dolomites, proclaimed a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site and deservedly considered among the most beautiful mountains in the world.
